Don Pacifico yeah I think he should be somewhere he'll start but it's his decision. If he gets the minutes Eddie has had this season I think that's about all he can expect. Unless he goes out and takes Martinellis spot. Maybe he thinks he can.

I like him filling in for Saka. Next year I would go after a big centre forward and also use Jesus more on the wing.

Interesting that in the Forest and Wolves games, Jesus spent a lot of really good minutes at right wing. I wonder if Arteta is just eager to see how Saka and Trossard fare in central spaces, or if he would get a target man as well

I think Arteta just likes a bit of rotation in game to counter what happened against Newcastle and Everton where our wide boys got stifled and we became a little predictable. We saw it regularly with Martinelli and Jesus/Trossard swapping and with the former out I guess he decided Saka was the one to give it a go.

Reckon it makes us less likely we see a target man and more likely we sign players who can play across the front line, either within games or from the get go.

lorddulaarsenal I think him actually physically exploding is more likely than the kind of explosion you're talking about, but let's see. I said before, I can see this deal makes sense for the club (for now anyway), less convinced it's a good move for him.

Provided he’s fit he’ll come on leaps and bounds. Showed elite levels last season. First time he’s hit them too.

I'm glad he's staying, but as others have intimated, I'm not sure how this will pan out for his career. he could end up in the willock/AMN/eddie phantom zone, in which case the club still benefits as we'll still get a decent fee for him next season

Probably saves us £20m on a replacement so this is good for us but like many have said it's not the best choice for his own development.

Nelson's great but find it odd people think he's going to displace Martinelli.

It's like the volume there's already dialled to eleven, but no offence if this fella actually started performing near Martinelli's weekly level last season, his supporters would have to blow a valve.

Great signing, full credit to Nelson for his many public statements about his love for Arsenal last season, and for the mettle it takes to fight for recognition in this squad.
