goon I'm not sure about us scoring lots of goals in any game. It's another feature I've come to accept about control ball. It is geared more towards stifling the opposition than it is towards liberating our attack (with this iteration of the style and with this crop of players). We want to push the opposing team back. We want to play against a low block and try to break it down while keeping them away from our goal. We want to attack primarily through the wings.
Until we get players with the quality to consistently fashion good chances through the middle, we will continue to struggle to score multiple goals easily. But we should also be able to win games by just scoring one or two, and restricting the opposition to few or no chances at all. It's the essence of the style.
