If Zinchenko is upgraded on one year after he's taken Tierney's place in the team I will be very surprised indeed. I think his late season travails have blinded people a little to the impact he had earlier in the season, I also think Arteta has decided his defensive frailty is outweighed by what he gives us coming into midfield from left back and that you'd all feel better, as Tim Stillman recently posited, if you thought of our set up as 3-4-3 and not 4-3-3.
I can also see a right back coming in, given the winter links with Fresneda (and Tomi's physical frailty). But again, I think the job Ben White has done for the team, non stop since Tomi's injury, has been a little unappreciated. People might want a flashier starting right back, I don't get any sense that Arteta would see this as a priority signing, given what's needed elsewhere, cough - MIDFIELD - cough..
