Gazza M Yep. He is a good player when we have possession but even in the 2nd half there were SO many times he couldn't intercept or get to the press fast enough as he's simply too unagile and slow.

Intelligence level out of the moon though.

Think it's the balance as Qwiss suggests. In any given game there will be a period of sustained pressure from the opposition when we will be tested and given how much the likes of Xhaka and Odegaard have left if the field this season we will be slightly vulnerable with this trio.

Qwiss agree there is a balance issue, but the quality is clear. His through balls are top top quality.

One thing to watch. Last few games, Arteta fought Trossard off the bench for Martinelli until today when Trossard started. He’s been bringing Vieira on for Xhaka so wouldn’t be surprised if Vieira replaced the Swiss soon.

Only issue to think about is transition D. Jorginho as some have mentioned is slow. If Zinchenko is pushed up, Gabriel is isolated. One solution is to play 343 with no striker. Either way there are concessions

Claudius Yeah. Today's game could have easily gone very wrong and we need to heed the warning signs.

We are way too open at the back as Jorginho can't cover as a single pivot. We need to tweak the balance. I suggest bringing Tierney back and moving Zinny into midfield as he is more mobile than Xhaka.

Tierney also stays discipline more often meaning Gabriel don't always need to be so isolated like today. If Bailey scored one of those 2 breakaways we would all be crying here

Claudius I don't think Vieira is going to start in the league anytime soon. Great pass today but otherwise I can't image his work rate impresses Arteta.

Jorginho is excellent. Moves it quickly. Has a great ability to find players between the lines, which is probably why Arteta likes him so much.

Has a desire to win. Will be interesting to see how he’ll fit in to the side when Partey is available.

Big Willie or maybe he sends Xhaka to the bench. That's more likely if he gels properly in my opinion.

Have to say, I love the way this lad plays. Watching him, he just feels like the quintessential modern Arsenal player who ended up at the wrong club. Hopefully I'm not left eating these words.

Pepe LeFrits He's quite reminiscent of Arteta himself as a player. I reckon one of the reasons for the slightly surprising passion to win we saw yesterday is that Mikel has gotten Jorginho excited about the project here and how he'd be able to contribute—maybe over a period of time, as there was a mention he's been working on him for a couple of years.

Think he's put in 2 solid shifts over the last games then popped up with a match winner for us when the chips were down. I'd be really tempted to put him in a midfield with Partey & Ødegaard, swap out Zinch for Tierney and start with Trossard over Martinelli. Our left side is totally malfunctioning and we can't keep heaping the blame on the wingers. Jorginho can help us with ball control and ball movement in midfield without Zinch and hopefully we can start to stretch teams on the left again, freeing up some space for Saka for cross-field switches.

He's an Elneny upgrade, as long as we remember that he's not there to replace Partey we should be able to manage expectations.

Get Rice in the summer cos Thomas is just gonna break down all the time from now on.

Xhaka is Jorginho. Both are Arteta players who will rub a lot fire a blood fans up the wrong way.

@Clrnc im struggling to see stierbey starting. Arteta likes to have his box of wingbacks and 8s. Tierney breaks that. Arteta is a big structure guy. The game looks super fluid now but that fluidity is coming of very defined rules and structures.

We've been open on the counter all season. Difference is that Gabriel and, particularly Saliba have dealt with it just fine until now.

Jorginho and Partey together might be the way forward. Xhaka has been brilliant for much of the season, but he's not been quite there lately. Not sure if it's a him thing or a team thing. Will Arteta ever bench him though?

QuincyAbeyie that LCM position requires alot of forward runs and recovering to help out on defense. jorginho is even slower than xhaka. not sure if that role will suit him
