I mean they are very different players. Partey's physically a beast so can move around quicker and cut off passes, defensively in particular he is far superior to Jorginho. When it comes to passing they're very different.

Yesterday not really a fair comparison because Partey came on when we were 2-0 up, Partey struggled against the same side when we played a couple weeks back. One thing which Everton did was mark Jorginho close and he got undone a few times, which is unusual because he is usually very press resistant. Partey is even better in that regard though imo. I don't know if Arteta was protecting Jorginho but he said he wasn't feeling good.

If fit though Partey starts but it is very good we have been able to ease him back in because in the past we would be under huge pressure to start him.

But football wise: Partey played like prime Wim Jonk in the second half but Everton were not even trying. As Jazz said they're different players with different strengths.

Apparently was ill during the Everton match and had to be subbed at half time. He was even less mobile and dropped into the RB position quite a bit. Still fairly effective mind.

Makes sense, I don't think Arteta would make that sub otherwise. He had a shocking start to the game, gave away the ball leading to dangerous counters 3 times in the opening 13 minutes, but he settled fairly well after that.

So it looks like Arteta has added two more Artetas in Zinchenko and Jorginho to the side. Tripled our Arteta factor! Genius.

He also congratulated the Arsenal Women on their win today, which is a nice gesture. Especially when you consider they beat Chelsea 😁

You can see the quality of recruitment at the team now. You see Korginho walking in the door, and you feel really good because he’s not just an accomplished player, he’s a leader with strong mentality.

Must also be great for the Brazilian and Portuguese youngsters to have him around as a mentor
