what i do know is that they are dealing with a man that sells these south americans on the idea of being their gateway to premier league riches (real riches, not brighton riches). fuck around and you'll find out that these south american agents can find other clubs that will put their players in the shop window.

if zubimendi was open to leaving in january i think we would trigger his release clause no doubt. but either he's telling the truth or lying about not wanting to leave in january to give barca the best opportunity to work something out for him in the summer. either case the player doesn't want to leave in january so no point in going after him now. moises wants to leave.
Meatwad yeah this isn't football manager. You need to player to be on board before you trigger the release clause, like the way we had Partey lined up well in advance.
I'm not really sold on Caicedo to be honest. Much prefer either a Zubimendi type or (my preference) an out-and-out physical specimen (much like Partey is) like Khephren Thuram or Anguissa (or maybe even both). Beats me why we passed on Danilo, honestly (although he is of course not the immediate Partey replacement we crave currently).

The Brighton propaganda is amusing. I welcome histrionics (esp. that guy Naylor/Phil Leotardo) if Edu sweeps this over the line. Definitely a huge strike. Though I think it seems like the stories are changing from "not for sale no matter what" to "Brighton want more money".
