I think Kiwior is a great asset. Thing is, Gabriel is just (or very nearly) as athletic, just as tall, more courageous, more consistent, poses a regular danger at set pieces, covers vast amounts of territory on the left with extra responsibility, plays a great pass, etc. Finally, he's been doing it in the first XI for years and is at the peak of his prowess. Kiwior by contrast has only just begun to turn in somewhat assured performances in secondary competitions.
Gabriel is a don, and we're blessed to have the superb Saliba, as well as White and Kiwior in the mix.
I have a premonition we're going to try to cash in on an excellent player like Gabriel or Martinelli during one of the upcoming windows. The decision will be based on Arteta's biases, which are persistent. With each player, Arteta pays great attention to the details of security and execution on the ball, while tending to just look at aggregate output and energy off the ball.
It's at the point one of these legends leaves us that some of the millions we've been a bit loose with in the market will start to bite.
