Did have a couple of shakey moments in the first leg (but then again Saliba did what he did tonight, so seems harsh to mention them.) but overall he did brilliantly across the two ties. Deserves a lot of credit.

Qwiss I think to be fair to him he's hardly played as CB for us, mostly LB and there he can get a bit exposed. He's slotted right in though and looking a lot more confident now.

This European run with his qualities in the spotlight is a great situation for us if we were forced to sell. If not, then he's proving himself a high quality backup. We've invested heavily in him so it's good to see.

Im not sure that he wants to continually be 3rd choice CB though, does he? He's good enough to be playing for a good team regularly, but he won't get regular games for us unless (as it did with Big Gab) someone gets injured.

Mirth Absolutely agree, it's just he may be too good to be a backup. I think we all have our doubts we would want him to be first choice.

This is one of those where if Kiwior's happy, you renew him, but if he's pushing to leave as some reports claim, it's not the worst thing in the world if we cash in while he's showing excellent form to observers at top clubs.. The big issue around that is whether Big Gabi comes back with form and function intact.

He looks like a £50m player to me currently.

His performances here v our previous quarter final last year are chalk and cheese.

Still only 25 and can improve a lot.

If we get to the final at least he will know Lewvandoski very well.

This is the same sort of way that people were talking about him last season before the Bayern game. I would still rather we bench him before he fucks us over and not after. I don't really have any doubt that White and Calafiori are better players.

Maybe White, I remained unconvinced about Calafiori's defensive acumen.

Would like to see Kiwior in the role for another couple of weeks before I jump on the bandwagon.
He was good today. I'll give him his due.

Physical attributes are nothing to be sniffed at. Guy can run and jump.

Partey’s suspension also highlights the need to have depth in midfield. If Jorginho leaves then we need Zubi plus another

Yup. Same with Marti as well.

But yeah, Kiwior has played well. Would prefer Habriel by a mile but he hasn't done much wrong since coming in.

Gurgen To be fair, a Polish day labourer goes for over £15m in today's transfer market (a home-grown day labourer is £25m).

Doesn’t make sense to sell him on this sh@wing. The guys we sre linked to srr £50m. Rather keep him and save £20m for the striker kitty and Gabriel’s / Saka’s extension

Not with how we play. Our center backs have to do a lot of 1 v 1 defending as well. All about them duels these days.

Tbf to Kiwi he was part of our team that demolished oppositions for fun last season after the Dubai break so we know what he's capable of when given a run in the team. He's a good player to have around, not sure he'll want to stay if regular football is not guaranteed, but let's cross that bridge if/when we come to it.

Big Willie Mart? Mart was quality for 2, 3 years and then went to shit (by his high standards) but glad he is getting a second wind. Long may it continue.

I swear he was born to score the winner in the Bernabu as well.
