Has really come on in recent weeks, Arteta talked about it taking time for him to understand the role but he is doing well now.

I think he may not be the most nimble but when he gets motoring he's definitely very quick. Set a bunch of speed records for us in training

He's got great when asked to go forwards think you can see that clearly. But I'm the games where we are so dominant maybe he gets pulled forwards more where his quality is probably playing more defensively. If he's in the squad in this next run then we'll see a lot more about what his level is

He’s another in the squad that makes excellent decisions. The weight, spin and angles on his passes are brilliant. Havertz is similar in that respect. Both execute what seem like simple balls so well in a way which prompts the receivers action.

HomeSteak I didn't necessarily get that impression, it just seems like he feels less confident there, and maybe he was annoyed to be doing it for country on top of doing it for club.

I've always found it weird how footballers don't enjoy certain positions. I'd understand if they don't feel like they're doing a good job where they're asked to play, but AMN would've done better at RB than CM if he just committed to it, so it always struck me as odd. Is it just that RB/LB isn't glamorous enough?

QuincyAbeyie Ox and Theo also come to mind, I remember Gerrard moaning about not always being a CM for Liverpool under Benitez as well. Maybe it is an English thing?

JazzG Some of these blokes don't know what's good for them. Gerrard only entered the top tier of players when Benitez plonked him up behind Torres as a second striker and let him shoot and pass Hollywood-style to his heart's content.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert

Gerrard and especially Ox being modern cultured central midfielders. Fucking cringe. Barely a brain cell between them.

lorddulaarsenal whilst I agree we should be keeping him around, I think it's too early to believe he's top tier. He's performed well as a make-shift LB but is yet to prove his worth in his primary position at CB. Positive indicators but more proof points required.
