RocktheCasbah It has been clear for a while Saka is struggling a bit, his achilles problem in particular needs careful management. This is also a way of probably reassuring players who we want to sign that they will get games. I've heard before of players not going to clubs because they felt their game time would be limited due to who they were competing with.

A 30% Saka is probably still our best attacker at this point.

Only worry is making sure he doesn't get injured again.

Saka's special. If he comes back and needs some time to get back up to speed, it's not surprising and understandable. On the other hand, if he comes back and instantly makes a difference then I wouldn't be surprised about that either.

And as has already been said, Saka at 80% is still a player.

I'd be very happy with Saka at 50% so long as the line is going up. 📈

You don't come back the way he did after missing that penalty for England and the abuse that followed, and the way he did after missing the penalty in the manner he did tonight, if you aren't something very special. I couldn't believe talking to people last summer that had no room for him in their team because of Foden, Palmer and Bellingham. Insanity.

He's unreal. That finish was perfect.

And only just back from a lengthy injury. Wow.

I dunno if it'd be a waste of his other talents, but I can't help but wonder how Saka would work out playing as a striker. He's got shades of Thierry Henry about him some times and I don't just mean the way he finishes. Does anyone else sorta see that or do I really need to pass the doobie to the left? I dunno, maybe just me. But hey ho, just thinking out loud.

I’m willing to bet that we look back on his 3 month injury as the best thing that happened to him. He’s back mentally and physically refreshed while playing at a higher level than when he got injured
