Next two games are at home against relegation contenders. Those will never be easy games like we saw against Bournemouth. But with a near full strength squad we should be able to do them.

For me, its the away games that are tricky. City, Newcastle, Liverpool, West Ham, and Forest. We have the best away record in the league by some distance and if we keep that up for the rest of the season, we will be champions.

If this is correct, means we will likely go to the game at the Etihad having played 2 games more. If we can at least match City's results until then, we could in theory go into that game 11 points ahead...

Adjusted for history, this must be one of the best seasons of football Arsenal has ever played in the league. If we take the title and become the youngest squad ever to do it, it looks like it'd be another pretty durable record.

Just want them to keep advancing in the FA Cup (partly because I don't want United to win it) and the CL. The more they have to focus on, the better.

We've won only 2 of the last 9 encounters against Palace, none of those wins being at home. Palace apparently haven't won a league game in 2023. Meanwhile we're back to strong starts out the gate and absolutely purring in possession. Jealous of those with tickets for next weekend, the stakes are high.

I thought going to Selhurst Park was an ideal test to start the season (KingslandBarge); this one at home is going to be huge to leave the table in pretty state for the break.

Law of averages says it's bound to happen...the longer the drought the more likely it comes to an end.

As we've already discovered this season, the are no easy games but if we turn up with the mentality that we did today, we should win against Palace (and most teams outside the top 6).

Don Pacifico Pretty sure that's not from the law of averages. 😆 A flipped coin isn't likely to land on tails four times in a row, but a coin that's already flipped three times in a row isn't less likely to do so a fourth time.

Or, well, it's from the law of averages, just not the one that's actually correct.

Burnwinter True. I guess that begs the question - why are we worried of facing teams in good form, if it's bad form that is worrying? Or does any kind of form, good or bad, mean an increased likelyhood of playing well against us? 😃

I was just doing some maths, based on Arteta & Guardiola's points per game historically and this season. I won't bore you all with the specifics, but whichever way you look at it, it looks like it's going to be too close to call (no shit, Sherlock!) That game in Manchester towards the end of next month is going to be the biggest game we'll have played since the Champions League semi final that we've all erased from our memories.
