raul was still around. he wasn't bushed until august of 2020 and cedric was signed in january. arsenal writers were bitching about raul's agent based approach when he signed. the edu link is because kia was his agent and david luiz, willian, and a host of brazilians. i don't think it's a coincidence that we haven't signed any kia players since edu has taken over the role.

I think it’s a pretty par deal for Euro captain at his peak. Weren’t there rumors of a higher willingness to pay from another club in early 2023? Good deal though for us given our track record, hopefully trending in the right direction.

it's easier to sell for good money when your players are viewed as having quality and value to the team. when you perform like shit other clubs say those players can't be that good and you clearly don't want them.

watts also confirms. 21.5m pound fee for xhaka is brilliant. his form was really well timed for us, but it also goes to show that when your team has an overall afterglow of a good season, it helps when it comes time to sell

That's a very good fee. Well done, probably the first deal I think we have sold more than we should.

Clrnc this was always going to happen once we fixed our squad. High performing squad full of good players. They all make each other look better as well. They’ll have a halo in the transfer market. Why it was important to dump the scrubs as quickly as possible.

HomeSteak it didn't work out but I don't mind that move. You are going to sign guys on the cusp of either making it or not and that happens. It wasn't a terrible amount of money and we move on quickly. Overall its not a problem, just the cost of doing business.
