Indeed, his technique doesn't seem to have any bad habits per se. When I used to play, I often found working on my weaker foot stabilised features of my overall technique. Perhaps Trossard's reaped a similar way.
This guy is lu-li
JazzG He isn't particularly quick but has a good burst of pace.
What? 🤔
Qwiss He has good acceleration but isn’t gonna burn someone over longer distances.
think we should tross as ard as we can. he's in career form at a peak age. now is when he'll be most useful. give him lots of minutes
Gazza M yep he’s in full bloom. So spritely
Amazing dribbling. I had no idea.
He’s basically a healthy and wise ESR. If we can get the real ESR will be a bonus.
Claudius I’d say he’s different in style to Smith Rowe, who is more a powerful carrier of the ball who can counter at speed. Trossard is harder to predict with his dribbling as he’s more nimble.
Can definitely see him being useful in the middle as well as the wings. Smart buy.
Would be tempted to play him instead of Xhaka on Wednesday
lorddulaarsenal
Yeah agree, think generally this should be the go to move if we are chasing a goal instead of taking of a winger...
lorddulaarsenal that's not a bad shout actually. Think Xhaka has had a brilliant season generally, but both against Newcastle and yesterday, we saw the limitations of having a natural central midfielder in an advanced role. He just doesn't have the same ability in tight spaces as a Smith Rowe. Neither, perhaps more pertinently, does he have the same instincts.
lorddulaarsenal Not sure I'd go for it Wednesday as I think we need Xhaka more in a game like that but against Villa I'd go for it.
Absolutely.
And when Jesus is back we’ll also have the option of having him and Eddie on together
Yep - need someone better in tight spaces against low blocks
lorddulaarsenal Reiss would be very helpful too with his quick pass and move game and handy dribbling.
Such a damn shame about him and ESR's unreliability.
lorddulaarsenal We would suffer a lot defensively without Xhaka covering for Zinny against Citeh
Villa is the game to make any changes. If we're taking Xhaka out though then I'd personally play Vieira there or ESR when he's up to it.
Nothing wrong with taking Martinelli out for a bit if we want to play Trossard, at least until Jesus is back.
goon Vieira hasn't really done enough to earn any PL start IMO. I'd save him for the Europa and see if he can show a bit more.
I think Martinelli could thrive off the bench too. Get him on fresh against tired legs and he might get a bit of confidence back.
