No width in that team at all. Martinelli and Saka will be all alone and double teamed with no hesitation.

Big Willie we rarely rely on width from our fullbacks though. On the left Zinchenko usually takes the inside path. And on the right basic Ben didn't do anything super special. If we bring in Timber we will have one more player who gets between lines and drives into half spaces in addition to Rice and Havertz. This is what it feels like the next stage of our evolution as a team is geared towards.

Big Willie — if Martinelli/Saka are double teamed it just means there’s more room and space for the central players. I also think the quality that Rice and Partey have means they’ll challenge teams to even get a double team set up as they move the ball upfield so quickly (via Rice dribbling or Partey passing).

I don't think we should necessarily force Partey, Rice, Havertz and Ødegaard into the midfield at the same time.

However, I definitely think the quality of losing Partey would drop a lot nonetheless simply from the fact that the chance of not being able to field three of them at the same time would increase.

Fielding 3 out of the 4 we have should be possible to do pretty much all the time. 3 out of 3, not so much.

I think our backups are Jorginho, Lavia, Vieira and The Smith. And Elneny in a pinch.
