Funny, I went to see Depeche Mode at Twickenham stadium on Saturday night. I had a great time because they're an incredible live band with a catalogue of songs most bands would kill for and then, on the last train back to Beckenham (because it took an hour to get into the station after the gig), I had to listen to an Arsenal fan telling his mate about how we'd put in an embarrassing offer to West Ham for Rice. He wanked on and on about it and all I could think was, "How do you know?"
Nobody really knows, do they? Unless you're inside the deal, how would you?
The transfer window's barely been open a week - I don't understand why everyone is so quick to anger and assuming the worst.
