Thought we had made multiple bids for him turned down and gave up in the end because it went over 30m for a 16 year old who's only played for half a season at the point. Whatever chance we had of signing Isak is probably gone now. Even the most optimistic accounts seemed to have in contingent on Newcastle not qualifying for any European competition.
