In that case, I don't see how he can be good enough as a supersub either. Every supersub will sometimes need to be started as well.

Trossard is good enough. His goal to minutes ratio is impressive. Its great to talk about getting in a player who'll be better than him and Martinelli but who? I don't want us spending £100m on a guy to rotate when we desperately need a striker and midfielder. Thats where the bulk of our money should go IMO. And realistically we aren't getting 3 players like that.

And don't forget we already wasted a large chunk of this summers transfer kitty on Raya.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if we get more than 13-15m for him max.

Big Willie he’s an English national team goalie. We will get money for him and Nketiah. £25-30m each.

It also helps that the teams voted to significantly increase their spending caps after next season. I was worried that this summer was going to be very quiet as teams started to pull back.

Clrnc this kid is a gem. Great for odegaard in that he typically likes the left half space; but he can also play as a ten or shift right if needed. Wouldn’t solve our Rice issue though unless we think k he can develop quickly as a 6 🙁

In fact Xabi sold their most expensive asset Diaby for 55m euros when he took over.

Clrnc We aren't dropping 150m though. And he and his father (who either represents him or is a crucial piece of his management team) have stated throughout the season their plan is to play in the Champions League for Leverkusen next year before considering a big move (likely to Bayern) in summer 2025. Trust me, I want Wirtz as much as anyone else out there but I just don't think it's happening.

Diomande - Gabriel upgrade and defensive depth
Onana - need that max duel winner to give depth
Olise - golden player who would allow us to rest Saka and can also play where Odegaard plays
zirkzee - best technical striker with presence available in my view

lorddulaarsenal We need a winger with pace next year and while I like Olise, that's not him. I like the other suggestions but if we don't add more field stretching speed in our attack this summer, we are going to regret it.
