He left Leicester when his contract was up in 2023 (and they were relegated that year) and joined Villa about 5 days later. We were linked with him the season before that, but it never happened since we weren't sure if he was just trying to get a new contract. (at least from what i can gather)

Yeah Villa got him for free. Interesting clause he put in there after 3yrs service. A lot more players should do that when moving to clubs that are known for pricing players out of moves.

Wonder how this will affect our Rogers move? Thought Manzambi was because of Rogers but looks like it's actually due to Tielemans.

Gunner89 completely disagree. Tielemans has been excellent throughout his time in the league. Getting him for £35m is great business by United. Doesn't really move the needle but considering they've basically no midfield having someone like him come in that cheap is a really good deal. It seems like they are focussed on remaining a top 5 side with their signings so far rather than trying to compete for the title but its probably sensible.

Klaus he'll be fine in the league. Doubt we'll see much of him in the CL knockouts.
