Either way you can think what you want, but I said back in March or April, long before we had made any offers anywhere, that I'd take Gyökeres over Isak, and I obviously still would. The rest is just squad renovation and Liverpool are gonna be one more year behind now.
What would worry me if I were a Liverpool supporter is that the role Wirtz has been playing in Germany doesn't exist in their current team. Maybe they can create it, but that would in return conflict with Isak's role, unless he's supposed to be an outright striker rather than the 9 linking play for their dangerous wide players. And if that's the case then you're suddenly looking at a whole new formation and tactic to suit your expensive signings, which also begs the question what Salah would be good for next season, because a winger he ain't. I think it was Qwiss who wrote that it rarely ends well for teams that first sign players and then try to find a team to fit them into. All this hinges on the theoretical that they do sign Isak though, which they might not, and I don't really care enough about them to speculate much further.
