Ughhhhhh. While i appreciate the fact he is a very good player, i literally loathe him and everything he does and stands for. He is such a sneaky, dirty, whiny little cunt pretty much all the time.

The racism towards him is horrible and no excuse for that but this guy is always winding up opposition fans and players.

USArsenal I don't think he's much worse than most players TBH, especially not Real Madrid players. Even against us he wasn't nearly as bad the likes of Bellingham. Rudiger is much worse too. I think Vini gets more shit than he deserves and a lot of it is from fan bases I despise like City, Liverpool and Barca. So yeah considering he's genuinely world class I'd take him in a heart beat.

Eh, i actually think his histrionics and antics are among the worst. And he's a total cunt. To be honest, a lot of the shit he gets from others are brought on by himself (racism aside). See the difference between him and Martinelli (im not talking about quality, obviously Vini is better), Marti does complain when he's taken down, but he doesnt go flying off the handle on every single touch he gets. Vini's actions are far too "Neymar-ish" for me.

Would he excel on the left for us? 100% yes. Would he automatically make us favorites for both league and CL? Probably. Would I support him if we magically signed him? Yep. But i still can't stand the way he behaves.

There is no smoke without fire, this Isak to Liverpool thing has been bubbling for weeks now.

We have to step in, giving them a free run at Isak is unforgivable. Make it a loan with compulsory purchase, do whatever the fuck you can to make it work.

I was just starting to make peace with the Gyokeres thing and now this has come up, like the footballing gods are fucking with my head.

Hopefully Newcastle tell them no but a very clever tactic involving Ekitike in this, they are forcing Newcastle's hand because he'd join Liverpool over Newcastle. I am guessing Newcastle wanted to bed Ekitike in before selling Isak next summer.

Qwiss Isak is on another level compared to him. This guy is the heir to our No.14 shirt.

JazzG I don't know about that. I have confidence that Gyokeres is going to match him.

If Liverpool get Isak it'll be a blow but you have to remember they didn't do a lot more last season than the one before we (and City) just fell apart. They are at a similar level to us and are now we are both adding players. I think Gyokeres to Arsenal is a far more significant transfer than Isak to Liverpool would be. They haven't lacked for goals, we have. We are still miles better in most areas of the pitch. Better defence, better midfield. They've a more dangerous front line but that might be about to change.

We're 100% not going in for Isak. This summer, as per Arteta's wishes, has been about quantity and Berta has delivered on that request.

Hopefully, there's a sufficient amount of quality in the squad as Liverpool getting Isak is a bit of a miserable prospect.

I've been on board for needing depth but Isak is a game changer. (I do not believe Gyokeres is a game changer, he's a good player.)

JazzG I don't think this is about Newcastle holding firm, it's about Frankfurt. Feels to me like the decision has been made to sell but they'll not engage until after they've secured a replacement to ensure they are in a stronger position to negotiate.

It's smart:

they've come out and said they want to play both together. There's just no way this is true but they'll maintain that until they land Eketike.
this is also a useful line to take when then selling to Liverpool. They can negotiate from a position of strength and extract maximum value.

I think this happens for around £140m.

Qwiss You have a lot of confidence in Gyokeres but I don't even think they are even close. Isak is the most complete striker in world football and has come up against the best defenders and given them all sorts of problems.
