Sicario2 You’ve gone soft mate 😉 A player like Isak becomes available a top club should move mountains to buy him. He played 34 league games last season and over 40 games, we have Havertz.

We should be signing him and Eze! Sell someone like Martinelli if we have to or just accept we are eating into next years budget. There is talk we might still be in for Rodrygo, forget him and Gyokeres and get Isak if that deal is possible!

Isak has played 30+ league games in each of the last two seasons. Seems like he's now in the prime of his life and mostly over the persistent injuries.

If Gordon is sold while we've ended up with Madueke, Berta needs to be pelted with shit.

I'm guessing we tried but they asked for 100m now nobody's is paying it they'll take less.

Same with Raya, they wanted 40m spurs ect all signed different keepers. We snuck in late with a cheeky 25m nobody else was interested at that point so we got him for cheaper.

it has to be their plan. you don't sign ekitike in the hopes of him carrying you in 2025-26. if they sell isak they aren't doing anything in the champions league and they won't qualify again. they aren't stupid.

one of my mates is from france, gooner as well, knows his onions when it comes to french players. he basically said ekitike is the madueke of french strikers. does some things well, but for the price, its a high risk move for a player that may not put it all together. I know I'd be a bit nervous if we spent 75m on a striker at his level of development. its a smart signing for Newcastle, who would be preparing for isaks departure within the next 24 months

I reckon they sell Isak if they sign Ekitike. But perhaps they wait a season on that.

That said, if Isak were going on the market and we were not involved I wouldn't much agree it reflected poorly on our work in the transfer market. Newcastle are pricks and it's not like we can spend the window waiting on their plans.

I reckon Liverpool are happy to wait a season too. They'll have Salah still scoring this season and they can transition away next year.
