Not sure I agree that Liverpool don't have the capacity to go for Isak. Yes, they've spent around £200m already but they have also recouped almost £50m from Kelleher and Quansah. They'll probably sell Elliot for around £40m as well bringing their net spend to about £110m (£70m if they sell Nunez also). Plus they spent nothing last summer.

Newcastle have been linked to Eketike recently (by Romano) and that is not happening unless they sell Isak. I have a feeling Isak to Liverpool happens this summer.

Klaus yea him and Conte seem tailor made for each other, Conte has a tendency to choke out individual brilliance in players but he can extract blood out of stone with guys like Darwin who are phenomenal athletes but have poor decision making.

jones Yeah but he earned like €50K per week at Atlanta. I'm sure there are European clubs who would have, perhaps not multiplied it with 6, but quadrupled it at the very least, and he'd still have a career in top football.

the goal of a footballer should be to make enormous wealth in a short period of time so he can live out his remaining years in comfort. typically you had to become one of the elite, win and play for the big rich clubs to do that. but if you can take a shortcut and do it in saudi arabia why the hell not.

Klaus deals done now, he's making 16m net. Think he'd have done well to find a club to offer half that let alone that paid Atalanta the 70m they wanted.

He's 26 and just two years ago he was still playing in Argentina, one bad injury and he'd have been out of everyone's mind. Can only congratulate him to this transfer.

Spurs getting linked with Gibbs-White after Kudus. Those two together would make quite a dynamic attacking midfield pairing and one that is physically very strong and athletic. I hate that I don't hate what Spurs are doing in the market at the moment.

Probably a good sign for us and Eze too. Spurs was the other team in for him at the beginning of the summer but they've clearly moved for other options now.

Sicario2 I'd imagine that we are trying to get the best possible payment terms on all of these deals to allow us to spend more this summer. Clearly we did that with Zubimendi - paying a little more overall but with a payment schedule instead of the entire fee up front. The reports have also said we are trying to do the same with Gyokeres and Eze. It may seem like nickel and diming but saving immediate outlay on all of these deals will allow us the flexibility to potentially have money left over for Rodrygo later this summer is my hope.

Qwiss Until we know exactly what the bid is, I'm not going to get worked up about it. What if it was a 50m bid but split in 4 payments? Then it's just an outlay of 12.5m this summer. This is why I think the head loss online over the "reported" bid amount is just way too premature. I'll be right there with you if we only bring him in as a wing reinforcement at the end of the summer but it's far too early to get worked up for me.

What's Nottingham's strategy about?

They had a great season, well above their standards, but if they sell both their wingers they run a risk of dropping into relegation fights. White and Elanga were their only dependent goal/assist producers aside from Chris Wood...who could drop off any given day.
