Ehhhh, not sure about that. They have already spend well over 200m between Wirtz, Kerkez and Frimpong.. Unless they somehow manage to move both Nunez AND Diaz, i don't see it. They would need to buy more than just Isak, and i dont think even they have the funds to buy 3 players if one of them is Isak.. (remember, Jota will have to be replaced also.. RIP)

Not sure I agree that Liverpool don't have the capacity to go for Isak. Yes, they've spent around £200m already but they have also recouped almost £50m from Kelleher and Quansah. They'll probably sell Elliot for around £40m as well bringing their net spend to about £110m (£70m if they sell Nunez also). Plus they spent nothing last summer.

Newcastle have been linked to Eketike recently (by Romano) and that is not happening unless they sell Isak. I have a feeling Isak to Liverpool happens this summer.

I think Conte might get something out of Nunez, he gets players to push themselves. Darwin's issue isn't that he's a bad player, he actually gets into a ton of goalscoring positions and he has enough chops and individuality about him to backheel a goal against Real Madrid for instance. He just can't convert the chances most of the time and seems a bit soft between the ears, which makes him a liability. He has grown too comfortable being a bit-part player at Liverpool too. He could have a big evolution under the right manager though.

Klaus yea him and Conte seem tailor made for each other, Conte has a tendency to choke out individual brilliance in players but he can extract blood out of stone with guys like Darwin who are phenomenal athletes but have poor decision making.

Darwin for £40m is better than Madueke for the same. Darwin is a big oaf at times but he's not as bad as Slot made him look. The season before he did quite well. He's not worth the crazy money Liveprool spent on him but £40m isn't a bad deal at all. I can see him have 25+ G/A easily for Napoli.

Or, conversely, the season before when he did a little better (even his first season when he had better numbers for Pool), Pool were not winning the title. Maybe by using him more of a bit player, thats why they actually won the league. Yeah, i know, other factors were also at play, but Nunez is not a title winning starter, at least not at Pool.

Ray A lot of his underlying metrics are really good, he's an absolute menace to play against. Strong, quick and unpredictable, so unpredictable I don't think he knows himself what he is going to do! He just has no composure, I mean the guy has the record of of hitting the post four times in one game 😆 He'll miss an easy chance and then score an absolutely outrageous goal.

If a manager can get him to focus and work on his finishing this guy can be top class.

USArsenal nah I don't think Nunez was why didn't win the league the year before. It was more about Salah and City/Arsenal. They only improved by 3 points. Slot and Nunez just seem to be a bad fit.

I would take Darwin (£40m) and Eze (£50m) over Sesko for £90m

Honestly think Darwin has as much potential as Sesko....even after demonstrating some donkey-ness for Liverpool. He's a high volume player who is always around chances, and if he ever sorted his conversion rate out he'd be a beast.

I agree for the likes of Jesus and Havertz who don't shoot enough and therefore underperform their xG whilst having a low xG in the first place. Someone who generates a ton of xG is mych preferable though because they'd still score quite a bit more due to the sheer number of chances they get/create.

If Nunez could finish (easier said than done - it's the hardest skill in football), he'd be a frightening striker.

Fair comment, we see transfer just from a transfer fee POV but clubs take all costs into account.
