Martinez

😭 That image won't follow him around for the rest of his life, no sir

Can't look past the fact that the players being fresh played a huge part in this WC being the best ever.

    Bring on more winter WC's!

Qwiss Was funny that Di Maria is so hard working and consistent in every club he played for, then was so bad and lackluster in effort at United luckily for us.

Claudius Don't think we will ever see someone like Messi again.

Mbappe and Haaland can score as much as they want and still won't be as good as Messi who is alien.

Think we made a bad call with Emi , he performed for us and should have been retained as number 1 but we chose Leno. Just hope United don't get him now to replace De Gea

The referee was very good today by the way, very strict but didn't dish out yellow cards easily. Unreal how he spotted the dive by Thuram. All the decisions he largely got it spot on straight away and didn't waver.

The only decision he missed was probably the clear pen for Argentina when Upamecano fouled McAllister.

Clrnc Thing is Messi is simultaneously one of the best goalscorers of all time while also being one of the best playmakers and dribblers ever.

Mirth exactly. Even today, them couple of through balls…he’s made it look so normal place. Would be the highlight reel compilation for the season for any other playmaker in the world.

Argentina! Arsenal! Arteta! Let it be the year of the pirates!!!!!

        England 2026:-

Mirth We are absolutely blessed to be witnessing such greatness in our life time.

By the way, Brighton talent ID is really insane. McAllister must be worth about 10x what they bought him for now.

Lamptey, Sarmiento, Mitoma, Caicedo, Estupinan all shone for their nations too

Mirth I'll be honest prior to the competition starting I assumed that if Messi was to win the World Cup it would be by Argentina carrying him to a large degree. While his teammates in midfield and Di Maria certainly did their part, there's no denying that Messi was a key part of it too. Goals and assists aside the way he was spreading play and simply keeping the ball moving was class.

goon Really? Messi has probably been the best player in the world this season before the WC as well.

          • goon replied to this.

From playing two world cups in his prime without scoring a knockout goal to doing this at 35:
