It's about as interesting as Juventus winning the CL after replacing Zidane with Nedved. Loads of variables in play but having a better player doesn't necessarily equal better results.

He's a terrible coach. Basically cut from the same cloth as Southgate, conservative and then rely on the fountain of talent at your disposal.

Terrible at following instructions and too lazy to retrieve it.

Everyone shits on all the NT managers.

Who is actually good then? These guys role is more about man management, creating cohesion and selecting the right players. They're never going to have the tactical nous or in game management that club managers have. It's a completely different role.

goon yeah and he doesn't even select the right players. If they are not injured, Umtiti Kante Pogba and Lucas still starts and they are fucked. He got so lucky to be forced to start the better players

I can’t wait for this motherfucking final. I especially hope that there is a Benzema reveal and he can come off the bench to win the trophy. The MVP deserves the spotlight. Let it be 3-2 France.

I’n being a hater but I’d be annoyed seeing Giroud win it again.

        daredevil

Agree that the requirements are different, but these guys are not even meeting half the ones you outlined. It's too easy to use blanket arguments for supporting these guys imo. Forget results, forget what other managers have done 15 years ago etc. Look at the players at their disposal and look at the performances produced and the ambition displayed and tell me it's not at best the bare minimum of what you would expect.

Southgate wasn't the worst appointment and is closer to being the right approach than going for big names but it's no excuse for sticking with him. Go for someone young who's showing promising signs of knowing what's what and give them a go at getting more out of these guys. Same goes for Deschamps.

I've always supported France in Euros and World Cups and never cared much for Argentina, but now I'm hoping for an Argentine win.

est exactly same as me this time round. There's not many players to like in this France team.

France are head and shoulders above everyone, talent and personnel wise though. Hope the argies manage to stay organized.

est I really hope Argentina lose. One of the most loathsome national teams in my time watching international football. I like them a bit when they had Batistuta, Ortega, Veron and Zanetti but can't stand them now.

Aside from the coach, and Giroud I don't mind most of the France squad. It's different to when they had cunts like Evra playing for them.

Apparently France have illness in their camp and among others Varane and Konate are ill. Maybe there's an outside chance of seeing Saliba in the final now?

Apparently the 3rd place play-off is still a thing 🤢, so here are the teams:

Livakovic; Stanisic, Sutalo, Gvardiol, Perisic; Majer, Modric, Kovacic; Orsic, Kramaric, Livaja.

Bono; Hakimi, Dari, El Yamiq, Attiat-Allah; Sabiri, Amrabat, El Khannouss; Ziyech, En-Nesyri, Boufal.

Possibly a bit of an admission around the fitness of some of the Moroccan lads in that semi final there...

Gvardiol putting himself back in the running for young player of the tournament with that diving header.

Twenty m minutes in, thinking it’s humanly impossible to find any interest in this match.
