No way. It could be offside from the original shot but by the time Estupians deflects it goalwards keeper dived and is no longer having his view impeded.
World Cup 2022
Wow, unlucky a Ecuador.

Think that’s debatable. If I was a keeper, that’s right in my line of sight.

The first shot? Yeah it was and should have been offside if that was the one that went in. The keeper dived for that shot which kind of goes to your point about it being debateable as he must have seen something, though I'd have agreed it should be called offside.
The deflection though wasn't I don't think from the one angle I saw. Keeper dived to the right and was no longer having his vision blocked the player at the point of deflection.
Put it this way. Imagine the ball wasn't a shot but a low cross, and the keeper (whilst his vision was impaired by an offside player) moved to the right thinking the ball would end up there. If the ball ends up reaching the feet of someone inside who shot and it went in then that would have been that, no?
Anyways, they score again which was well deserved. probably should have scored another but a draw is decent enough against Holland. Shame about the injury to Valencia. He'll be a big miss.
Lol @ McKennie's hair. That's tragic.
Not looking like ending this record of never beating USA in competitive game at this rate. We've been really poor so far.
US by far the better team so far.
Turner is so dependable and commanding in the box
Turner with a good stop at the stroke of half time.
England do seem to be playing a similar style to us with Trippier coming infield quite often as an extra CM rather than on the overlap.

I like him.

Trippier has been very negative. Constantly passing back to Stones, not opening his body up on the touchline.
I don’t think Trippier has come that narrow, he just has not athleticism to run the bylines.
Definitely need to change something here. USA too organised and committed to just have pacey people running at them. I always find Mount to be quite anonymous too. Maybe I'm just an idiot and hate Chelsea too much but just never been able to see it with him.
Shaw should have had a yellow for the studs in Weah's ankle. Ouch
Adams is very very good
Decent chance that football will be called soccer after today.
Henderson? Hahaha. for Bellingham.. Grealish for Sterling.
HI’m told Musahs a gunner, he’s given the US drive and energy and Bellingham did jack.
Kane is so selfish, takes so much luxury each time, sabotaging the side for a decade running.
Saka could’ve been in there if the selfish prick Kane had released him earlier
Saka off now so go Yanks!
Kane bottled it but nice showing Turner
England were dire
USA have some really neat players. All three midfielders were great.
As far as England go. Not sure much can be done to improve it. I’d go
———————Pickford
TAA—-Stones——-Maguire—Shaw
———————Rice
———Bellingham—-Maddison
Saka————Kane———Grealish
Sick we lost Musah. Can't believe he's only 19.
Very disappointed in England's showing. They have the third strongest squad at the tournament, imo. I am amazed Foden isn't starting.
Agree he should probably start, and while you can argue for Sterling instead, you certainly can't argue for Foden not even getting subbed on in a 0-0 game.
Central midfield is where I thought England was lacking - there was no tempo maker. No midfield controller.

Already 20 apps for US and over 70 apps for Valencia.
His decision to leave us really worked out well

Yup, England actually looked a lot better when Henderson came on. The midfield set up doesn't look right.
The wide players struggled as well, took an eternity to get the ball out wide and once the ball was there they were already tightly marked.

Argh
I assume that he has fond memories of his time here and that the connection could help if we're looking for someone like him when the time comes for his next transfer.
He should be a very good Partey replacement if we can convert him into that role. Not convinced by his attacking abilities tbh but very very strong in possession.
I read his interview, the reason he left us was because he couldn't see a path into the first team 3 years ago but I assume if we want him back for the first time he will be more than willing. 7 years in hale end should count for something
Poland are really poor. Dire.
..unnnd they score
Scez still the rockstar against penalties
Yeah nice feat from him there. I don't really watch them much, but when I do it really feels like him and Lewa are integral to their success, lifting what is barely a international cup side otherwise.
Saliba had 1-2 appearances at the last WC right? Wonder if he'll register 4 WC appearances when its all said and done. Edit: maybe it was the pre-group stage matches
Mate, Saliba was 17 years old the last WC He didn't play for France until this year.
That certainly wasn't lost on me! hehe, my radar is still telling me I saw him sprint onto pitch with his curly highlights during a World cup warm up or group game.
As with Jesus and Martinelli, good for us he's resting up on the bench. Will probably make it easier negotiating his contract if he's not France's star CB.
France is a dangerous team that can create goals out of nothing, but they play some truly garbage football. Boring and cynical. Like a slightly better England.
