Agree that the requirements are different, but these guys are not even meeting half the ones you outlined. It's too easy to use blanket arguments for supporting these guys imo. Forget results, forget what other managers have done 15 years ago etc. Look at the players at their disposal and look at the performances produced and the ambition displayed and tell me it's not at best the bare minimum of what you would expect.
Southgate wasn't the worst appointment and is closer to being the right approach than going for big names but it's no excuse for sticking with him. Go for someone young who's showing promising signs of knowing what's what and give them a go at getting more out of these guys. Same goes for Deschamps.
