No he doesn't need to get me excited if he's coming in to do a job like Gilberto to solidify us allowing the attacking players to do their job. You're either not reading my post or willfully chosing to nitpick and be snarky, without tagging me.

Loads of teams have looked at Morata and Lukaku and wanted to buy him as well. Liverpool, United and Chelsea were all in for Aouar too that year we were bidding for him. Doesn't mean I can't form my own opinion using my own eyes, does it?

USArsenal He's not as physically big as Partey, but he doesn't have to be. We have plenty of players that are 6ft+ (and he's not tiny, he's 5'11")
And even this was not an issue for me because like I said, he's physical and defensively solid enough for me. Once again, my issues do not lie there, if you'd read my concerns you'd see that.

This is where I disagree strongly. He maybe will have a higher pass percentage, but he also plays it safe more often than not in my viewing of his games. Once again, that's not necessarily a bad thing, but having Rice then in the 8 is concerning for me because the pair of them will have us lacking in creativity.
We're not selling or moving Rice into another position any time soon so the 6 will be playing behind Rice. Unless I'm completely underestimating Zubi and he is clearly on that level distribution wise into the forward positons then I think we'regonna struggle.
Much as I did not want Rice in the 6 for a long time because we had Jorginho and Partey available, I'd sooner have him there and an elite 8 ahead of him and next to Odegaard rather than someone at 6 who for me is similar enough to Rice.
Anyways seems people are getting strong emoitions when it comes to any talk around Partey and any concerns with Zubi, so I'll step out of this discussion.
