From reading about Zubimendi has been heavily linked to Barca as a replacement for Busquets.

JazzG If Barca want him to replace Busquets we should be all over that, because Busquets 2.0 is exactly what we need in that position.

We are not signing both, unless we are aiming to win the UCL

Need to sign either an improvement or understudy for Partey first, I think we could cope without Xhaka but we are fucked without Partey. Getting someone in January will be hard though.

MistaT Seen him a couple times and looked big strong defensively but didn't see any other standout qualities. Limited viewing mind you but we need a technician there and he doesn't come across as one.

Please refer to the article that @MistaT shared on DM metrics. Partey is a very particular DM. There are many names being bandied about that would not enable us to do what we have with him. See what he does. First time balls to the wing, through balls to the CAMs to bypass opposing DMs, rapid switches to the fullbacks for the overloads.

We can’t make the mistake of bringing in a top DM like a Fabinho and finding ourselves with more steel but less zip. Rodri tracks closest for me - fantastic player who is at the heart of everything City do.

Claudius City don't have anyone else who can do what Rodri can either. We need to make sure the drop-off isn't too big. I'm not saying we need one of those two midfielders in particular, I'm saying we need a midfielder.
