Totally agree.

Zinchenko looks quality on the ball but was caught out of position a few time. Was taken off early unlike the rest so fitness could be an issue

Part of me would love to throw Sambi in the deep end as the 8 and see how he does. Has a lot of quality on the ball and reads the game really well. Unproven yet though.

Alosno diving in a friendly (circa 50 min). Chelsea and Spurs have it potently in their DNA and thats why they'll always be lesser.

Tbf their transfer window has been utterly embarrassing so far. Don't like coaches who complain in public but you can understand the frustration at having a useless meddling yank owner like that

Really encouraging performance all around.

Thought White RB and Saliba CB worked really well with Zinchenko pushing up. Saliba once again showing signs of being a top defender.

Suspect Jesus will have a great time up top for us. His hold up play looks a lot better than I thought.

Seems like there will at least be a positive feeling in the club. I haven't watched pre season for years mainly because like Kel said I don't really care about friendlies it's never the same as full competitive games deep down so the real appraisal is when we hit the league.

But great if the team feel upbeat ahead of that.

May be to a degree I can but he's gotten in who ever he wants for multiple gluttonous windows. He's an overrated coach who doesn't have the balls for 3 seasons now to develop a competent back four system. Arteta had the ambition to establish that straight after the FA cup win and now he's closer and closer to being able to use multiple formations effectively (overall, in possession, defending, shutting down, hunting). I'd still like to share with you what I mentioned weeks ago about Arteta 'positives' and this is one high up the list for me. Conte's brand sucks and reeks too.

Jesus looks like someone who enjoys leading the line and be the main man. At City he was just a sidekick. He has far better qualities than I though.

Saliba is a top defender. Not just signs. It's very obvious from his past 3 seasons and also his international matches against top strikers he more than held his own.

Tuchel apparently has poor third seasons at clubs so let’s hope this is the case.

That was our best lineup out there.

King Jesus already doing king shit. He's going to be phenomenal for us.

Saliba also looking like an absolute beast.

Both of them are top class additions to the side. Keep Partey fit and he and Xhaka will take us back to CL football.

All the signs point to him doing great for us.

But that's an odd take. His hold up play was always great, it was his killer instinct in front of goal that was often questioned.

He's the complete forward. Can score, run and create. Better g+a record than every forward in PL history bar Aguero and Henry.

Haven't loved a player since Alexis but this guy is on the right track. So glad we missed out on Vlahovic.

The reservations didn't make sense. Won't score more than single digit league goals according to one. 😃

I look at the team we had out there, and only Xhaka and Martinelli would I look at upgrading and that's just being picky.

I don't think Xhaka is anywhere near as bad as he's made out to be. He's a good player and the howlers that led to goals have long gone. That's not to say I'm against a top CM purchase.

I believe that Richarlison would have been a better addition, but I can't deny that it appears that Jesus can be the real deal. Maybe I was wrong and GJesus ends up scoring 20+ goals, that would be amazing, I hope to be wrong.

Actually doesn’t look too different stylistically. We are still doing the same things we’ve been doing. The difference pertains more to the obvious step up in quality in some critical spine positions - CB, CF. That makes a ton of difference in execution and our ball retention. Pop in some magic in the midfield and we can be waving willies once again

Have to agree with Flobs. Richarlison is an ok player but him and Jesus are levels apart. Only place where I'd have put Richarlison ahead would possibly have been his hunger for goals ahead of anything else and that's not always a good thing if you end up trying to go it all alone all the time when there are better options like he has a tendency to do.
