Mourinho's on a good run, but his failure to get past Barca in La Liga shows he's not God.
Despite some improvement this season, didn't Pellegrini have Real on a higher points total at the same time last year?
Nobody is God Burnsy. But as Asa says the worst thing is that we're sick of the exact same mistakes every season, at least they'll be different mistakes.
If you want to place money on Mourinho replacing Wenger at Arsenal, I have some nice chaps I'd like to introduce you to. We play poker every now and then ...
A girl can dream can't she?

Spending €28m on a striker near the end and massively bumping the wage bill isn't wheeling and dealing.
Mores the pity......
Of course not but for some reason we're always spaffing about the little rodent.

Which striker was that?
No one has said Mourinho is God either. He's just better than Wenger.

Milito?
Shevchenko? But he was bought by Roman over Jose's head and that caused some friction.
God is dead.....

Mourinho has had barely any input with regards to transfers since he left Portugal.
I'm pretty sure he didn't have much say in Porto's transfer dealing either.
Maybe, I genuinely wouldn't know so didn't want to mention it in case Lagos asks me to see his contract or something.
😆
I remember reading that Porto had a director of football (can't remember his name but he was famous) that was responsible for identifying and then signing suitable players. As it's widely known that's standard practice on the continent anyway.
I think he had a big influence over transfers in the early Chelsea days. Certainly Ferriera, Carvalho and Drogba were his boys. Tiago and Kezman too, I think. Since then I think he's had a say in most of his clubs transfers without necessarily having he final say.
Not Drogba or Kezman as I remember it. It's difficult to pick through the truth but those two stand out as players who were signed by those above him.
As I remember it, Ranieri was the driving force behind signing Drogba, but he obviously joined at the end of the season.
Good for Mourinho. He can manage players signed by other people. That's a good quality in a manager.
Trying to watch Barcelona - Almeria. For such a good team, Barcelaon have a bizarre ability to bore the hell out of me
