I can see the similarities, but at least Lacazette used to score in big games. This guy is so frustrating. And the alternatives are equally as depressing. If we don't invest heavily into getting a proper striker this off-season, we're not serious about winning things.

Or just play Trossard there. Which means dropping the other two. Havertz can only be an acceptable player up front. Jesus could be pushed to the wing. Just never play Jesus and Havertz together, we end up with too many players dropping too deep.

Has his limitations, but still showed good strength and desire to set up Trossard for the opening goal yesterday. He also set up the Trossard goal that got us back on level terms versus Bayern last week.

I'd normally be against this, but maybe the club has concerns about his ongoing fitness issues. he's been a pretty big disappointment this season. might be going the way of partey, busted and potentially phased out

Gazza M if he can find improvements and we stay deep and capable, I’m fine. Love the player but availability is an issue. And Kai has shown us good attributes and outputs in that role.

Gazza M this is good. I'd be happy to have Jesus as a squad member but we need to move beyond him as a starter and id even like to push him to 3rd choice striker this summer.

Qwiss same thoughts. He's just way too wasteful in front of goal. But there's nobody that have his kind of Brazilian samba dribbling ability in the squad.

In a perfect world he will be a squad player and we have either a new top striker or top winger. Jesus could be very deadly if we have a pacey powerful winger like Sane to play into

I've been thinking about this and I can't imagine who'd buy him from us. Think its going to be very hard to find a club that will want him, pay his wages and that he'll want to play for.

Qwiss the logical places are filled - Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid, City.
Possibly best to let him do his surgery and heal and see if we can get some of the autumn 2022 form back.

But we definitely need another option who is at the Saka level or higher up front.

Meatwad His allround game was top class and everyone was fawning over how good he was and revelling in that we now finally had a proper no. 9. His goal scoring record was fine during his first time with us. Don't know why that clip has omitted those goals.

Clrnc @Meatwad, this ability to beat defenses with dribbling or high value passing beyond the right flank is what was clearly missing against Bayern. We need this ability on the team. Opens up spaces for other players. He has to get his scoring up if he wants to be the starting 9 at a City-level club though.
