I don’t think we’re far off now. Would like the option of a more nimble right back but it’ll probably keep Saliba happy if he gets more game time whilst Ben White covers Tomiyasu absences.
As far as additions - left sided winger for me. Want a different option to Martinelli and Nketiah out there. No sure who mind.
Midfield I’m not to worried about as I like Xhaka and Zinchenko can play there to a high level. Wouldn’t say no to a blockbuster move for SMS or an investment in top youth talent like Chukwuemeka.

I'm worried about Partey, I mean there's the obvious reason to worry, but it seems unlikely his fitness holds over 40 games. I know there are players at all the top clubs that are single points of failure - they go down and you've had it, no matter what your squad looks like - but the drop from Partey to Elneny or Lokonga is too great. Even if they're different players, a Tielemans or an SMS might have the quality to hold that midfield together sans Partey.
I really like the look of Marquinhos and Vieira too. There's something very Douglas Costa about the former. He looks as strong as a bull. I reckon he might surprise a few this season and offer us a bit here and there over the course of it.
One or two of the right signings in and we'll be the best prepared we've been in 10 years going into a season.
