I don't think our scouting is that bad, we've generally signed good players in recent windows. I'll be honest I would've liked Cucurella here since his Eibar days but you can hardly fault the club for every good player we don't sign

Our problem isn't finding good players, it's (other than overspending) finding them in the right positions and getting them to gel on the pitch

Solid signing. Actually although he is our backup plan to Martinez, I very much prefer him. More value for money, can play CM (natural position) and is proven in PL.

I believe we're looking to replace him and will sell him on if we get the right offer, yes.

Not sure about this one. Don't mind if it is for left back role as backup/challenge KT but not as a first choice CM...

But then that begs the question, why would he come here to be in a similar situation that he is in City.. Not guaranteed 1st choice.

There's a lot more playing time behind Tierney (if Tierney even is first choice) and our CMs than behind Cancelo and City's midfielders so the same role wouldn't translate into the same lack of minutes.

Zinny is much more comfortable at passing it around than Tierney. Probably not as good a defender, but Tierney's not brilliant there anyway.

Probably, seems like he is at a stage where he would want to be starting most games though.. Either way, as long as he isn't bought in as a first choice CM, I'd be ok with it.

Hhhmmm, I see Zinchenko and Tielemans as alternatives for the LCM spot. We also have Viera to blood in that position or Odegaards.
