I agree he is not the absolute top quality but I don't see any of them around that are realistic... think he has a lot going for him, all round game is great... ultimately it would be about can he score 20+ a season on a regular basis.

The club probably (naïvely, at the moment) think Martinelli and Saka will pick up the additional 15 goals each.

This is a disappointment signing if it's the only CF.

His goal record is a bit average but he has missed a lot of games. He's only started 23 games this season and 16 last season. This season he got a fractured cheek bone and last season before was a dislocated shoulder. So sounds like impact injuries rather than him being injury prone.

I agree 100m is too much but I don't think he'd cost that much. Then again I don't really care about transfer fees any more....

100m is not too much at all considering we spent 100m on White Ramsdale and Lokonga while barely improving the team if not at all.

100m for Osimhem would instantly elevate our level

Agreed. Actually think Adebayor seemed to have a better control than Osimhen but yeah, signs are good. For 100m not sure but its6just what he reminds me of.

Adebayor was a really good player mate. Missed a lot of chances, but a really good player that period when he was focussed.

He was great when his head was in it. His main problem was that he was a total prick. Wanted out as soon as he did well. Should have stuck with Wenger, he'd have had a much better career.

Look back at old Ade vids Clrnc, he's better technically than you give him credit for. He was just prone to missing some easy chances.

Adebayor was quite poor technically when he joined us. I have always thought the work Wenger did in improving his all round game was some of his best here.

I seen to remember him actually addressing his poor finishing in an interview once and explained that as a kid they never had goals when playing football so they honed their dribbling/ball skills without ever practicing shooting.

Never had goals? That makes fuck all sense, one of the best things about football is that all you needs a ball. You make goals out of anything.
