Doesn't really need service to function, can occupy defences on his own, great work rate and link up play. If he can overcome his injury issues he'd be pretty much the perfect striker for us to sign.

Used to feel some pride back in the day about how we didn't overpay in the market like Spurs Liverpool United etc but that was years ago, he could cost 200m for all I care.

Pepe will be a bargain for the right club. Really hope Osimhen is 1st choice and Jesus is just an alternative or maybe we go for both, the latter seems unlikely though especially w/o CL football.

Is he really that injury prone though. That injury was a freak one but other than that he was fine isn't it.

He's injury-prone and a bit inconsistent, but in terms of physical attributes, technique and talent he's so spot on that you'd think the club willed him into being.

It could end in tears, but I'd rather spend everything we've got on Osimhen than a single dime on Gabriel Jesus. The potential upside is huge.

Exactly how I feel, if the Kroenke's are putting up money I won't complain.

Seems like exactly the profile of player we should be after and considering our position we will have to accept that we will overpay. Then you need to factor in top class CFs are in short supply and already at top clubs

The recent tweet in the Journey Continues thread suggests they aren't doing so, otherwise they wouldn't be worried about FFP.

Another point re your last about overpaying = the fact Osimhen is already at a club that will be in the UCL next season.
