Arteta has been talking a lot about needing to sign players to take us to the next level, so if he agrees to sign Jesus as our starting CF we should give him the benefit of the doubt based upon the bulk of the transfers In last season.
That said if he signs someone not up to scratch then the question has to be why did we hold back in Jan and what was the point?

Don't think we held back in January, we just had no real backup plan for Vlahovic.

Would hope Jesus, if he were to come, would be one of two forward signings. Nketiah's just reconfirmed he thinks he's out the door along with Lacazette. That would leave us with a large gap to fill: Nketiah, Lacazette and then the rest because the two of them weren't good enough anyway.

Probably less about Gabriel's sample size and more about Eddie's. Either way it doesn't really reflect well on Jesus. I was watching him against Villa and I just don't see which area he's going to explode.
