Excellent. I expect this is because Ragnick was taking a long term, multi-season view of rebuilding and Ten Haag probably wants instant turn around. Hopefully means more of the same at United.

well he's injury prone though. Tuchel and him love each other so I guess that's where the Chelsea thing is coming.

Bet Bayern or maybe even RM might make him an offer too.

Just read a comment that BVB have already made 6 signings ahead of the transfer window, which is much like they did last summer. We need to pull our finger out before the pre-season tour gets going.

sounds like tchouameni to real is all but a formality. they've been pretty shrewd is rejuvenating their midfield for the future

Think both Casemiro and Kroos have declined this season, it's only Modric who doesn't seem to be affected by age at all. Valverde, Kroos, Modric, Camavinga, Casemiro and Tchouameni is still a ridiculously strong group of midfielders even without Ceballos who the RM fans have been happy with this season. Valverde has also played a bit on the wing this season because they're lacking a good RW but they'll probably buy Gnabry or someone else now.
It's insane that RM almost haven't bought any players the last couple of years, their squad has just kept up so well.

I remember seeing that Monaco has to pay 20% tax on the transfer fee because Spain considers them a tax haven. guess we will see what happens when it's over the finish line. thankfully that mean he's not coming to Chelsea or Liverpool, with the latter's fans drooling for him.

they also got Rudiger for free.

Speaking of Bayern, will be interesting who they target other than Mane. They signed Gravenberch (he's got a few fans here) for 25m euros. I could see them get into the Darwin Nunez sweepstakes as well as Liverpool.

Casemiro, Kroos and Modric are in their 30s. Modric in particular is surely on his way out in the next 12 months.

And Ceballos is not at that level

Ugh, I hate that. If we'd gotten CL I don't see him choosing them over us, even with the higher salary he'll get there.

But now, we're both just EL clubs whereas they have a better manager and more money.

He definitely doesn't want to leave. Xavi doesn't want him to either obviously, but it may be out of both of their hands if their money problems are serious enough.
