Camavinga Touchameni and Fofana is a pretty balanced and strong midfield trio but creativity will have to come from the front 3.

They've been playing 3-4-1-2. With Varane a doubt Saliba has a good chance to start. I think the two Madrid kids will play together in the middle, probably Pavard and one of the Hernandez brothers on the wings to start, with offensive wing options brought on late when necessary.

One of my dreams to go to a WC. Eyeing up the next one as a possibility as have relatives in LA and NY I could potentially stay with to reduce some of the cost.

So apparently he said he's returning to 4 at the back. Maybe he's going to roll with Varane and Kimpembe at CM, would be like him. 3 in MF would create a place for Rabiot as "most experienced."

I would have taken Sancho as an impact player off the bench.

Sancho has been absolute garbage for 2 years. No reason to take him to the World cup.

Englands problem is in midfield though. They've technical defenders and attackers but their midfield is still lack that sort of quality. Rice has his strengths but he's not a technical, modern CM and it hurts England. They need an upgrade there to really start playing good football. And a new manager.

Exact opposite imo, the midfield of Rice and Bellingend is the only good thing about that England team. Expect Saka to play wing back again and White not to feature at all, Kane is a parasite to any team, Maguire and Dier are dire, Pickford can make great saves but also drop a clanger at any time and is also a chavvy gnome. Not going far this team imo.

Yeah agree. I was looking at their lineup and if Southgate knows how a diamond works like Italy, they can go far.

Rice holds onto the ball so much. It looks good because he's taking control at West Ham but at a high level it slows down the football and allows teams get back. Its why no ones pushed the boat out for him despite constant hype IMO and why City went for Phillips instead.

City went for Phillips because Rice would cost more than double that. I'm not the biggest fan of the latter either but he's a great athlete and with some strict instructions can do a lot of damage, especially with someone like Bellingham next to him

I will take your word for it but what a fairytale for him. The last Frankfurt match I watched was against the scum and barely noticed Gotze.

The German squad is very interesting. Previous wishlist materials like Henrich, Tah, Gosens, Baku, Neuhaus all dropped for new comers. What happened to them? Well deserved for Fullkrug and Moukouko, but that Southampton youngster though, must be some talent
