If Jesus is the banker acquisition regardless of where we finish and the hierarchy expects to make the more ambitious, likely complicated play at another striker if we qualify, I'm ok with that. Otherwise not really into it initially.

Why is Tammy hyped up so much all of a sudden? He's scored 15 goals in a league that allowed Lukaku to thrive. He's still the same largely average mid table striker. We may as well just make Eddie our main man.

He's English that's pretty much it. Roma will ask for much more than 50m anyway they just bought him for 40.

He's a donkey. Even just in Italy there are 5-10 strikers better than him

Because he’s stepped up. Settled well in a different league and will be better off for the experience.

It's completely different scenario, I wanted us to sign Salah but he's not a centre forward nor is he someone who relies on his athleticism in a slower league. He's technically superb, Tammy is far from it.

For now, and only because he’s played a lot more football. But would it really surprise you if Eddie ended up a 10-15 goal a season player in the PL? Becasue that’s all Tammy is.

Anyway, ive been watching a few comps and I’ve made my mind up. Osimhen is who we should go after, Nunez has been bumped to second on the short list.

If Osimhen is in the mix he will always be number 1. Just a little worried about his injury record but to be fair he was pretty fit at Lille. Would be an astronomical price though.

Should have listened to me ffs. Have been banging on Osimhen door for 3 years now since his Ligue 1 days.

We would. Even a washed up Shevchenko fetched a similar price in terms of age ratio and market valuation those days. If he refuse to sign, we should absolutely sell him for 60m. definitely a big no on Tammy. the time to get him was last season if we were that keen. spending 50m on him now would an atrocious use of cash

I thought his injury record was mainly about the fractured eye socket?

As for price I posted a link earlier suggesting Napoli may only want e80m.

Its different but so is Lukaku coming back to the PL. An awful lot of players get hyped up on here because they're doing ok in Serie A. Abraham would easily have been better for us this season than Laca and Eddie, and considering Arteta had it in for Auba he should have just made the switch last summer.
