we bribed him to come here, let's be honest. I don't think it was the 'project' it was moreso we were willing to pay him what others weren't because we had such a deficiency in midfield, which made the salary and transfer fee palatable for us. looking at vlahovics price tag and interested parties, I can see spurs being in for him if they sell kane, or a sweetheart loan+option deal to juventus ala locatelli

£45m and £200k a week is hardly beyond what Partey is worth though, reports also lead us to believe we had our claws in him a while back. Generally speaking virtually ever footballer (and his agent) needs to be bribed regardless except for in rare circumstances.

But yeah, Fiorentina will end up paying Juventus to cover for the logistics of them taking him off them.

It's not beyond what he's worth, but it also doesn't tell us that "we are Arsenal so if we really want a player we will get him". We're not that club and I don't think we've ever been.

SPURS, ARSENAL TARGET VALUED AT £60M
Dusan Vlahovic is set to be one of the leading names involved in the winter window, but Fiorentina striker certainly won’t come cheap.

Tottenham and Arsenal are said to be leading the race for the 21-year-old, with Antonio Conte’s appointment nudging Spurs ahead.

Juventus were keen too but the Old Lady has been priced out of the market, with La Nazione reporting that Fiorentina are expecting £60million to sell the forward mid-season.

Apparently, La Viola would prefer to keep Vlahovic until the end of the season, when his price will surely plummet because his contract expires in 2023.

isak and vlahovic are probably the most interesting of that bunch, and obviously the most expensive

En Nesryi is average. Won't take Bayo too. The rest are interesting definitely.

We should gamble on someone like Julian Alvarez in all honesty. Plays like a young Aguero

I like Bayo, he's not perfect technically but plays with a lot of verve, ideal physique and athleticism for a striker too. Like En-Nesyri too but wouldn't want him here, too inconsistent.

Alvarez would be a better buy than anyone on that list. Complete package does everything from finishing to creating, works hard completely ambidextrous and wouldn't cost a bomb because his contract runs out soon

pretty much looks like laca and eddie are off. with aubas current level, nailing this signing is becoming more and more critical. I hope we try to get it done is jan as well

Imperative we get a striker, even more important than CM.

Vlahovic way too expensive and using us as bait, Isak still too raw and not prolific enough. With the kind of football we play gotta be Darwin Nunez for us even though Julian Alvarez is ridiculously good.

Need someone like Nunez to hold onto the ball up front and create chances on his own.

I saw Dominic King link us with DCL. Wonder how much that would cost.

I wishlished Alvarez earlier, glad Clrnc and jones like him too! He's got some serious shot power in both legs. I like Jonathan David from Lille too.

DCL would suit us stylistically I think but does he have enough goals in him? Its going to be very hard to find a striker who's going to do well in this set up.

DCL is too limited and he's suffer in the same way Auba does being a box player. His hold up play is pretty poor.

I'd like a striker who can come short and bring guys like Martinelli, Saka and ESR into play as well as getting the ball to stick in the final third. A young Benzema would be great.

DCL is too limited for me overall. Doesn't score enough to be worth that huge price.

I give you a young Cavani.

And here's him feeding on scraps against a team giving them 30% possession to show the bad side of it without service.

Yeah. I have never actually watched him before in a proper match unlike the other strikers named here but saw your name check, youtube his compilations and he looked ridiculously good. Searched his match by match every touch video and he seems legit. Like Aguero skills with Podolski's shot power and placement accuracy.
