IMO the comments re his 1st touch and not being suited to play with his back to goal, means he is NOT suited to our current CF role as seen with Laca.
That said I think he IS ideal to play the WF role as seen with PEA (& Martinelli of late), and in particular using the TH tactic of going wide to receive the ball on the flank, when being able to dominate the smaller FBs rather than contesting with the more robust CBs. Additionally (like TH, PEA & Martinelli), his pace is a real weapon and as such he would be an ideal target for Ramsdale's long clearances to the flanks, rather than looking for a target man type to provide an 'out ball' through the middle.
