Gakpo is no striker, doesn't move or play like one at all and not every tall winger is destined to be a CF. He's talented but he's not better than what we have there, also as mentioned Madueke is the one to get from PSV.

Liked the look of them since last year UCL. And Club Brugge talents 90% are success elsewhere. Buchanan will probably be the next star there once these 2 are sold

Lang and CDK both look very interesting but them being from Brugge is actually the reason I'd hesitate signing them 😆 their last few sales Wesley Diatta Izquierdo etc have all flopped, bar Amrabat and Meunier at a stretch I can't think of anyone who did well elsewhere. Maybe you're thinking of Anderlecht or Genk?
Linked to Sinisterra in the Houseboat thread.
Did you just quote the post you've made in another thread? 😆
He's good but not a striker fwiw.
Lang looks like a bit of a smeghead. Wouldn’t fit in to the culture

Which is why I didn't post it in here despite the talk of wingers etc.
So apparently Chelsea are willing to sell Werner for 40 mil €. That’s a great price and got me thinking if it would be an option for Arsenal. Even if we get him as second choice for that money it’s not the end of the world. Maybe he could turn it around. What you guys think?
Surprised no one mentioned Jonathan David over the past couple of pages. Still think he's a good option to consider next summer.

Meh. You need a very specific team to get the best out of Werner. You need a team that sits back and counter attacks. He was lethal when RB Lepizig was on the break where he could spam his speed. Once teams bog down and don't give as much space, he's what Chelsea has dealt with. The fact that he misses chances often will drive people crazy.
No thanks to Werner, one of the best athletes in the game but very limited ability as a player, plus this spell at Chelsea will have dealt a huge blow to his confidence.

He is very good, but more of an out and out striker.
David reminds me very much of Lacazette.
Agree completely, I don't see an outstanding attribute in his game.
Anyone good is unfortunately not good enough. As a second option, sure, but we need someone (potentially) great. Otherwise, we will be hamstrung like we were with Giroud/Laca and I can't see us push on from fourth and challenge Chelsea.
Thing is, it seems like there's only good options out there at the moment. Unless we somehow get Haaland...

Spot on.
He'd be fine as a back up, because he has a well rounded game that would enable our wings and he's a decent finisher. I'd rather David than Laca as our back up striker next year.
But as a starting striker, there's just not enough to build on or to maximize.
We've been linked to both Dybala and Scamacca in the past couple of days along with Martinez.
No thanks to any of them
For me it needs to be someone from this list or a wildcard we don’t know
Broja, Felix, Osimhen, Abraham, Calvert Lewin, Nunez, Adeyemi, Isak or Leao
I'd narrow that even further, honestly. Or put another way, some of those names would be fine as long as we're getting another.

Scamacca and Felix or Osimhen would be the ticket.
Get Kamara in on a free and you can still buy another midfielder or winger depending on who goes, and what the need is.
