I think this is correct, yeah. Even if Laca wanted to sacrifice his next payday to stay at the club, after our next moves we won't be able to play him often enough without reducing opportunities for the likes of Smith-Rowe, and he won't offer enough as an impact player. Now's the time for him to step down to another club that will need him more—after the shift he's been putting in this season, he'll be well remembered.

I think Vlahovic would be a club-changing signing if we can convince him to join. It's very hard to find a striker, and he's showing himself to be a 20+ goal scorer at a very young age. And he looks tailor-made for the Premier League.

More well-rounded in his play, but he wasn't even a starter for Sassuolo for half this season while Vlahovic is the league's top scorer. It's one thing to rate build-up play, it's another thing entirely to pretty much ignore Vlahovic's goal scoring.

Also, he's an Italian playing for Juventus' number one farmer club. There's no point even trying.

Locatelli, Berardi etc. all move around b/w the two.

They sold Locatelli to them for an initial 21m pounds.

I like Scamacca but hes not better than Vlahovic no way.

Have to say I've had few positive words to say about Arteta but he really has the Kroenkes by the balls when it comes to the transfer market. Making proper big club moves now, not exactly the way I've hoped for it to be done but just a matter of time before we're seriously competing looking at the rate we're spending

Don't get me wrong, I'll be super excited if we sign him. I just watched some comps last night and he struck me as being a bit head-downy. Fully recognise what a bullshit measure of assessing a player this is.

Definitely not a head down player, the guy has a good picture of what's going on around him. I still see more than a bit of van Persie in him.

Watched that video last night. I think it shows that he'd probably be better at hold-up play here since he looks very isolated from his teammates when he's trying (and still often succeeding) to keep the ball in that video. If he was here he would have better options to get rid of the ball.

That's what I see as well. Might not be such a bad thing as Giroud was a really good player, just a bit hit and miss in front of goal unless it was a near post flicked finish.

If Giroud could have run, he would have been one hell of a player tbf (then again, if my auntie had bollocks she'd be my uncle).

I still think his footwork and dribbling in close quarters is more van Persie than Giroud, but the way he pins defenders is classic Giroud. At the same time, I absolutely see Klaus' van Nistelrooy comparison.
