Me. Mentioned as much earlier. Hesitation is fine, reluctance not, but it's so hard to tell if the noises coming out are true. Like Jones said we could match the package most clubs in football could give him.
And that’s where the profile of a coach comes in - their attacking ideas, and their (Edu’s??) ability to sell their vision. I was watching Bergkamps doco the other day, and he mentioned how things were shaky after his coming to Arsenal because right about that time was when we sacked Bruce for Arsene, but that his mind was put to rest because he knew Arsene’s philosophy matched his own in terms of attacking emphasis. Would be massive credit to Arteta and co if they are able to pull this off.
I feel like Isak v Vlahovic are going to be the next Henry v Van Nistelrooy in terms of style and careers. Stylistically of course I’d rather we got the Henry type, but I’m more than happy getting a killer, ruthless finisher who can add a good link up game to his arsenal. He is already so strong and technical - his base is already at many footballer’s peak in that regard. He can focus on developing other aspects of his game here, get well paid, and potentially pick up a few trophies on the way if we are lucky.
