Haaland is a complete moron Ricky 😆 talks and behaves like an edgy 12 year old. How does he strike you as even reasonably smart?

Unless you're talking about career choices then agreed, choosing Salzburg and Dortmund over Juve and other big clubs early on was a good call although probably by Raiola and his father more than him.

Yes, I guess I mean savvy. That's not to say I agree he's a moron, I've heard him talk lots and he's extremely switched on (by football standards at least!).

If he was watching last night he should recognize where the real proyect is at. City's football is dull.

So today's talk has us linked to the likes of Silva, Nkunku, Diaby, Jovic & Moussa Dembele.

Really don’t care one jot about that sort of thing at this stage of the season.

I'm guessing it's the media reacting to the obvious issues & Arteta's post match comments v LFC.
Plus RM have apparently made Jovic available for sale as they look to clear their decks ahead of their summer transfer activity.

Jovic would need to be a cheap back up to be worth considering for purchase. If we were interested I think we'd have done an Ode on him and he'd be on loan here now.

Might not be the sexiest option but if we want someone to do what Lacazette does but better then Toney would be a great shout.

That said, Osimhen would be first choice for me personally but I fear Napoli will be pricing out any potential suitors this summer. Toney would be a good alternative style wise I reckon.

Will also be interesting to see if we sign a second choice forward or we plan to rely on Balogun to fill that role.

Amine Gouiri with Toney as Plan B.

I'm not sure about Toney. I think I would be really underwhelmed and disappointed if he was our striker signing. He can be the Nketiah replacement tho

Felix and Toney, from the point of view that I need to be just a smidge realistic, would be very nice. I'm not a huge Toney fan, but he has good attribites to be that big, strong focal point when an alternative is needed.

Might have the profile who will be ok with not being first choice too

Toney has been underwhelming this season after taking the championship by storm last season.

I know it’s a level up and he’s playing in a newly promoted team/struggling side but I expected more as he really looked like a rough diamond this time last year.

Having said that he may be a form player and since Eriksen has been playing he’s looked a lot better.

Not sure if he is Arsenal quality even as a back up striker though. Would cost a bit (English tax) so probably not worth it. Plus he’s 26 so hardly up and coming.

I would rather keep Laca as a backup for next year than sign Toney for 30+ mil. If that money is spent elsewehre of course...

That's my thinking too.

Regardless of how many goals he gets, if he can do what Lacazette's currently doing, plus being able to actually run and compete physically, he could be a good squad option.

Might even have a releasr clause in his contract should Brentford go down, so could pick him up cheap.

No thanks to Toney, doesn't seem the right character for this team at all.

He just loves shitting on Brentford every time he gets to, doesn't he
