Problems being that he will be out of contract so we need a new deal, and I don't think he is ready to play 2nd fiddle for us.
I wouldn't be surprised if he went to either WHU of back to OL, so long as he was the starting CF.

We supposedly have a list of 6 names as our CF targets for the summer - Osimhen, Isak, DCL, Broja, Jovic and Nunez.

TBH I don't think the first 2 will be likely re fee and being high on other UEFA club's target lists.
Nunez looks an interesting prospect as the starting CF and Broja as the developing option, but I don't think the latter meets the HG criteria which may be a factor. Alternatively Jovic may be the player who offers the biggest diversity from the others in terms of style.

DCL is absolute garbage, watched him plenty to be comfortable in saying that. First touch like a trampoline and while he's a monster in the air he might as well be playing a different sport with the ball to his feet.

With Jovic it's pretty clearcut, if we have coaching staff who can motivate him he's by far the pick of them, albeit ahead of Osimhen only because of the latter's injury history. If we can't get him to feel comfortable he's possibly the worst choice.

A lot to like about Nunez but a bit of a toss up how he ends up. Loads of hustle but unclean technique, I see some similarities to Cavani but he was a lot more polished even at Palermo

Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of DCL either.
Neither him nor Jovic would really be my choice. Jovic is just to big of a question mark right now. I know you are a big fan of his and I wouldn't mind getting him on loan maybe with another signing up top. But him alone as the main striker signing is just not it for me. Could be a serious flop, it's for sure not as clearcut as you think imo.
Also, don't really like the guy so maybe that's influencing me too.

It is as clearcut as I said though, I watched every match of his for the two seasons he's been at my home club I reckon I have a good understanding of his strengths and weaknesses. His attitude is a big question mark as I said myself but his ceiling is higher than everyone else's on that list, he got 28 goals as a 21 year old in his first full season without being a nailed on starter. There's a reason Madrid paid over 60m for him.

I know, and I know that he was amazing at Frankfurt and believe your judgement on that front. However, I do not think the attitude question is as clearcut as you presented it. It's much deeper than just a question of the coaching stuff being able to motivate him. It's a really big question mark imo, with a lot of factors involved.

Maybe you're misunderstanding, I'm not saying it's clearcut he'll be set if he's motivated. Players who have A1 work ethic and top tier talent sometimes don't work out after a transfer for intangible reasons, that's true for everyone and isn't worth repeating.

My point is he's shown in the past that he's capable of stinking it up at several clubs now (Benfica and Madrid) on and off the pitch and that he can be lethal with some tough love and surroundings that make him feel at home (Crvena zvezda and Frankfurt).

More I read about Darwin the more I want him. Not necessarily a link player but looks like he could develop into a complete CF. I actually reckon he'd be less of a gamble than Felix (who I would also take in a heartbeat).

Isak is a big fat no for me. I don't really care so much about the lack of goals as much as how loose he is with the ball. David also looks average.

I think because Darwin is Uruguayan and has long hair he is being compared to Cavani. If he was English he'd be compared to Danny Ings.

I like Nunez. Honestly prefer him to most options weve6been linked eith albeit with very limited viewing of him. But he has all the right tools and can be both lethal in front of goal as well as able to drop deep and play his team mates in. At 22 years old I reckon we could do a lot worse.

80m is ridiculously overpriced. Then again our spending in recent years has been City United etc level so seems like we don't really care about fees anymore

I understand now. Still, that makes him a big risk. But then again so do most of the options seem like. Tbh I haven't seen almost anything of Nunez but 80 mil is ridiculous.
Isak is still my favourite, I hope we go for him. For some reason I get the feeling he'd fit the best into the team.
Anyone know any other names that haven't been mentioned in the media yet that could maybe be an option for us?

Same. Isak is so so raw, hasn't developed much. Was watching him yesterday and he looked lost at times, suddenly on it again. Way too inconsistent and still play like a street footballer. This sequence of play...

30-40m gamble, not 75m.

Nunez' first touch is far too dodge for him to be worth more than 50 mil.
