Isak is still my favourite, I hope we go for him. For some reason I get the feeling he'd fit the best into the team.
Anyone know any other names that haven't been mentioned in the media yet that could maybe be an option for us?

Scamacca, Belotti, En-Nesyri, Schick, Gabigol = there's still plenty of time to be 'linked' before the end of the season, and I imagine we'll be seeing more stories in relation to CFs any time we struggle to score.

I imagine much will depend on who signs Haaland, and then who the Elite clubs look to sign as their planB.

Talk Everton are prepared to sell DCL to help fund a rebuild.

I have a sneaky suspicion that if we do sing 2 CFs and/or a wide attacker who can play across the front line, that at least 1 of them will meet the HG requirements.

I think he'd flourish alongside good kids like Saka and co, and Arteta might be an ideal manager for him. Skillful, pacy, good finisher, decent frame. Has massive upside.

Agree. A lot to work on too. He spends far too much time playing as a bonafide winger these days. When he first broke through and played fully centrally he had superb goal instincts. Will never forget his debut and he killed us that day.

Yeah, I think United had two really promising players in Rashford and Martial, and they wasted both of them a bit by never developing them as strikers. Rashford has found it easier to adapt to some kind of in-betweeny role because he's the superior talent, but I'd like to see him backed as a striker. He has the tools to make it work.

Yeah Rashford would be a good pickup, certainly knows how to strike a football.

As a backup/second option sure, but if he's our marquee striker I'd be very disappointed. I agree that he's better than DCL though.

Absolutely

The issue would be the fee. How much would United charge us? It would be prohibitive, and force us to look elsewhere. For example, £45-50 mil would be my absolute top end, and to be honest I would rather a top drawer striker/talent firstly, and someone like Rashford secondly.

At 45-50mil for the second attacker coming in, is a lot of money.

That is considering that United accept that, which I highly doubt.

No to Rashford. He has talent and potential but I’m not sure he’s a good fit for our style.
