I was also confused by the order before I noticed it is by number, which made me laugh at Cazorla being number 9! You've to give Wright his 8 though.

Few difficult choices in there. I'm cheating with Cazorla and Rosicky but my reasoning is their respective injury records would allow them to share that position!

Qwiss obviously, the two greatest players to have worn the shirt, but they're like beings from outer space. Plus, being in Leeds from 95-02, I missed most of Dennis so I never really felt I had a relationship with him (even though I was at his debut).

I LOVED LOVED LOVED Ian Wright because he was the only reason to watch Arsenal throughout much of the 90s - and you could see he loved playing for us as much as we loved watching him.

Five favourite Arsenal players of all time, Wrighty, Paddy, Rocky, Santi, Saka.

Our current number 7 is on the way to being top of the list, but a ways to go yet.

Burnwinter Well don't get me wrong, I liked him alot then (he was kind of the best thing about team which paints the picture) too but putting him in my team of favourite players ever... Not sure.

I watched a Sky thing about Tierney last week, it was about him in San Sebastián and its amazing he didn't work well with Arteta because my god is he boring enough for Arteta.

Qwiss I think he and Arteta love each other. He was the one coming out saying Mik's a genius even while we were shit. Always pics on the training ground together, etc.

Lukazan I just loved his attitude. Shame he couldn't stay fit, or invert.

None of the other left backs we've had have really been off much interest to me, with the obvious exception of Cashley and, equally obviously, I couldn't put him in. Even now, I'd say left back is the one area of the team that doesn't exactly fill my heart with joy.

Ozil had the highest ceiling, but maybe lacked the consistency of Fabregas, Bergkamp, etc.

I wasn't even that big a fan of Ozil, but this is one of the best creative attacking midfield performances ever witnessed at Arsenal. The sequence for the third goal is one of the best creative plays I've ever seen. Right up there with Bergkamp dancing on the edge of the box against Juventus, or Wilshere tiki taka-ing against Norwich. But people hate Ozil now, so I don't expect a fair assessment.

Having said that, Odegaard is far more reliable, consistent, mentally stronger, etc.

daredevil I dislike Ozil for his work rate and lacklustre performances. People remember the highs but there were plenty of lows. Absolute low to the point we look like we are playing with 10 man.

That said I do legit think Odegaard is the better player and isn't lacking in creativity and vision as compared.

I really really liked Arshavin Hleb and Rosicky too! And have a soft spot for Diaby given his injury story

Weren’t a fan of Nigel Winterburn? Prob the least sexiest left back of all time but will never forget his ‘head to head’ with Di Canio and that goal v Chelsea at the Bridge.

Clrnc I think it's such a shame about Arshavin, he had all the talent to be - well, the Ian Wright of the 2010s, but it never really happened that way. On his game though, what a player.
