Think he has grown in stature as a leader this season since being made captain, but then, when I think about it, he was already giving those "hungry lads" sound bites to the press last season.
I'm not sure Arsenal's had a captain like this, who came into the role by taking it on organically, since Arteta himself was captain. I don't just mean through performances but through his attitude and relation to the rest of the squad. It's a positive development.
Anyway, either people have been realising what Ødegaard contributes, or the joint performances of the team, and its results, have put the stops on the formerly widespread narrative that he's ineffectual and hides under pressure.
